Battle Of Ideas makes his second start over fences at Chepstow (2:15) this afternoon and it’s all systems go in what looks a competitive race. His chasing debut at Kempton last month was a pleasing one and there’s every hope he can take another step forward here. Harry Cobden felt he got taken off his feet over 2m2f on good ground last time out, so there’s every chance the step-up in trip and softer underfoot conditions will see him in a much better light.
Joe Tizzard is very much looking forward to the race and had this to say about his chances.
“Battle of Ideas has been in really good form at home since his Kempton run and I think he should run a big race today. This longer trip should suit as will the track and ground. It’s a competitive race but we think he’s got a great each way chance.”
Here’s hoping Battle Of Ideas is in top form and our competition winners and their guests enjoy a fantastic day at the races.
