Battle of Ideas did the Coral Champions Club proud yesterday with a fine third in only his second appearance over hurdles at Exeter on Tuesday in what looked a strong Novice race.
Assistant trainer and Coral ambassador Joe TIzzard couldn’t of been more pleased when speaking to the Club after the race.
“Harry came in pleased as punch with him. He said that the loose horse had bothered him all the way round, but he dealt with that well, and then he stayed on lovely all the way to the line. Another 100 yards and he’d have been second. In all honesty I couldn’t be happier with him and he will have learned a good deal from that.”
“Harry thinks he’ll be a three mile chaser one day but for now he’s just starting out and we’ll keep him to around this trip on galloping tracks, particularly on the winter ground we’ll now be getting, or perhaps a couple of furlongs further on tighter tracks. Dad and I have a real soft spot for this horse and we’re delighted with his run today”.
